Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Tyson CV when you use the service.

Last updated August 3, 2026

In short: Tyson CV is a free tool for building a CV. Your CV is yours. Use it lawfully, do not abuse it, and understand that it is provided as-is by one person, without a guarantee of uptime.

Who you are agreeing with

Tyson CV is operated by Tyson Monteiro as an individual. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Questions: cvbuilder@tysonmonteiro.dev.

What the service does

Tyson CV lets you write a CV, preview it as a PDF in real time, choose a template, score it against common CV conventions, and download it. It also lists recommended job boards.

The service is currently free to use. If paid features are introduced later, existing free functionality will not be taken away without notice.

Your account

  • Provide an email address you control. You must verify it before signing in with a password.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and access to your email secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Your CV and content

Everything you write stays yours. We claim no ownership over your CV.

You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service — to store your content, render it into a PDF, and show it back to you. Nothing more.

You are responsible for what you put in your CV, including making sure it is accurate and that you have permission to include other people's details, such as referees.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anything unlawful, or to impersonate someone else.
  • Upload content that infringes someone else's rights or includes their personal data without a lawful reason.
  • Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' data.
  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute the service or its content as your own product.

Job board recommendations

The job boards we list are independent third parties. We do not control them, are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data, and listing one is not an endorsement or a guarantee of a job. Check any opportunity carefully before applying.

The CV score

The 0–100 score is guidance based on common CV conventions, not a professional assessment. A high score does not guarantee interviews, and a low one does not mean your CV is bad. Treat it as a prompt, not a verdict.

Availability

The service is provided as-is and as-available. It is run by one person and may be interrupted for maintenance, or change over time. We do not promise any particular level of uptime.

Please keep your own copy of any CV that matters to you — download the PDF. We take reasonable care, but you should not rely on this as your only copy.

Ending the agreement

You may delete your account at any time from the account page. Deletion is permanent.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used to harm the service or other users. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities, or loss of data arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer under Portuguese or EU law, including rights that cannot be limited by agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will notify you of significant changes by email.
